I just applied for a Teacher position at St. Patrick's, north of here. I don't know if I will get an interview, but it would be so nice to secure a position soon. It's within my drive time radius, so that is great!
I am so very ready to have my own classroom for the full year, instead of jumping from classroom to classroom and school district to school district as a substitute teacher. If only I could teach full time in the school year and then teach out of my Home Education Art Studio during the summers, we would be able to pay off our recent land purchase and save for the kid's college fund so much sooner. So say a prayer for this opportunity to come about for me!
I also just had an interview to become a 4-H leader and Art Club leader. I am not too keen on putting yet another "volunteer position" on my plate at this time, but if I can just volunteer one of my Home Education Art Studio classes - like Drawing, then maybe it will bring more students to register for my other classes. Who knows? Last year the students that I had all entered their art projects in the Fair and everyone earned a blue ribbon or better. I was blown away by that! I know my textile skills, jewelry and lapidary skills, painting, sculpture, and drawing skills would be the best foundation for an Incredible 4-H Art Club, but there just needs to be a few more "clones of me" to do all that I want to do. Choices! I think just the Drawing would be all I'd need to lead for now.
I think if nobody calls to register for classes by tomorrow, I will be re-setting the schedule for my Home Education Art Studio classes to start in March. It is just as well. I am still having fun with throwing pots and getting re-acquainted with my pottery wheel. It has a new motor now! My new home made wedging table /art cart works just fine. I do need some locks on the castors though. Well, I have a hungry family to feed, so I have to go now!
Art Links: See my Detroit murals! Just take this link http://photobucket.com/albums/c136/tiger-croc/?sc=1&multi=8 to my Photobucket Album.
If you would like to see even more of my art work, there is another bloggy site that I upload to. It is called DeviantArt. http://tiger-croc.deviantart.com/ You can go there and just click on my gallery. No need to take time to join or comment there though. I have a difficult time sending and answering messages when I could be creating something instead.
